Jo Hunter

Jo is an experienced consultant and marketing professional with an extensive track record in strategic planning, marketing strategy, brand management, offer development, innovation, benchmarking and research. She has more than ten years’ experience working with high profile domestic and international organisations in both the commercial and not-for-profit sectors.

Jo formed Pollen Strategy in 2010 after accumulating broad experience as a management consultant with well-known Perth firm The Marketing Centre (later Black House) and as a member of the senior leadership group at Force Technology International, an Australian market leader in telecommunications peripherals.

She is an experienced public speaker. Recently she has been invited to present on the following subjects:

Kirsten Shearn

Kirsten offers business owners consultancy services with a focus on the creation of values-based business models.  She works in the areas of strategic development and implementation, organisational and cultural change and implementation as well as one-to-one business mentoring and self-leadership strategies.

Specifically Kirsten has been involved in large strategic and organisational redevelopment projects within both the corporate and not-for-profit sector, specializing in the development of social enterprise models.

Kirsten has been in business since the age of 9, starting up a carwashing business as a means to fund her plans to become a supermodel !! and continue with her love of personal development.

Throughout her career Kirsten has run various businesses including recruitment agencies, property management assistance, retail businesses and most recently management consultancy services.

Her decision to join Pollen Strategy is based on the opportunity to work with likeminded individuals, with shared values, to create a force for good.


Belinda Coghlan

Belinda works with a range of sector groups including local government to help people reach a consensus, focusing on collective problem solving and ownership of strategic and operational issues. With her group facilitation and organisational development skills, Belinda effectively consults with all levels of an organisation and community groups to probe for issues /challenges /assumptions and uses good practice approaches aligned with the Australian Business Excellence Framework. She uses several consultation tools and techniques including the ToP Workshop Method, World Cafe and Open Space Technology to ensure active adult engagement, shared learning, authentic consultation and strategic alignment.

Typical projects include stakeholder consultations, business/strategic planning, corporate planning, values integration, HR planning and restructures, change/improvement interventions, group facilitation and resilience training. Throughout her work, Belinda has a reputation for understanding complex business relationships adding significant value to projects through her proactive communication and project management skills.

Belinda has had significant experience in managing change interventions helping clients to understand the higher purpose for the change, consulting/communicating the change, the grief cycle and support for adopting the change. Projects relevant to a change management role include Belinda’s work as an internal consultant with Victorian local government following Jeff Kennett’s council amalgamations in 2001; as a group facilitator leader helping WA farmers adopt new farm planning methods to deal with new global markets, climate change and increasing costs of production; and as an external consultant transitioning staff to a new start up company, Australian export Grains Innovation Centre including support for staff shifting to a more commercial, dynamic operating environment.  In these roles, Belinda has had to work with staff who resisted the change and tailor support mechanisms to suit individual needs balanced with those of the business.


Lindsey O’Kelley

Lindsey is a management consultant with a Juris Doctor of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. She is dedicated to helping clients find innovative solutions to achieve their objectives and deliver effective results.  As a consultant she has worked with both government and corporate organisations and has experience in strategic planning, business analysis and outcomes-based evaluation. Her background has resulted in highly developed analytical and problem solving skills, including analysis of a range of issues and identification of best practice in order to achieve strategic targets. This has also included the development of high quality reports, some of which have been made public by the Australian Government.


Dave Hunter

As Pollen Strategy’s business development manager, Dave brings a diverse skill set and several decades’ experience in sales across a range of industries. From the tyre industry to hospitality, from retail sales to management consulting, Dave’s skill liaising with clients and customers is behind his success. His talent for building relationships and understanding the customer’s perspective means he can skip from one sector to another with ease. He will quickly pick up the nuances of your business and produce a clear brief for the Pollen team to respond to.
